1. Open the Setout tool. At this point the Setout button is inactive and ghosted out until it can connect with the camera via a USB link.

2. Turn off the camera and connect to the PC USB port. The red LED will light if the battery is charging.

3. PRESS AND HOLD DOWN THE SHUTTER KEY... DO NOT RELEASE IT.

4. With the Shutter key still held down, PRESS AND HOLD THE POWER KEY DOWN for about 5 seconds. The red LED will blink, and finally the green LED will turn on indicating a link with the Setout tool. NOW RELEASE ALL THE CAMERA BUTTONS.

Note: If you don't get the green LED above, your PC connection is not established and the Setout button will stay inactivated. You may have a bad cable or an intermittent connectiion in the camera USB plug. Wiggling the plug in the camera slightly may diagnose the latter problem.

5. The Setout button on the tool should now be active and turn black in color, and the camera model and Hardware/Firmware versions should be displayed.

6. Select your choice from the available options and press the Setout button when finished.

7. The settings will be written to the camera automatically, with a confirmation alert pop up in the Setout tool.

8. You're done! Disconnect the camera and test the settings for confirmation.

Notes:

1. The settings in the "Rotate Video 180 deg." function" seem to be reversed. When it's set to "ON", the video is right side up with the camera buttons on top

3. The "Date Stamp Logo" box will accept whatever text you type in, and append that text to the end of the date/time stamp in your video display if you have that option toggled on.
